  • 1recipe smooth applesauce
  • 1/2cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/2teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
  • 1/4teaspoon ground cloves
Slow Cooker Apple Butter


  • 1Put all ingredients into the pot of a slow cooker.
  • 2Set on High for 2 hours and cook uncovered until the apple butter has reduced and is very thick.
  • 3Cool apple butter to room temperature and enjoy on toast, stirred into oatmeal, or on top of pancakes or waffles.
